Spa Ceylon Lotus & Saffron Cleansing Bar Review| Yay or Nay?

Hey Guys! How are you all? I recently shifted to a new place so there is a delay in posting new blog posts.

Today’s product would be Spa Ceylon Lotus & Saffron Cleansing Bar which I picked up last month from Amazon.

I was never that into bath and body products till the time I became a blogger. Recently I have spotted  this  Luxury Ayurvedic brand at amazon which kind of left me intrigued. Spa Ceylon is a Sri Lankan brand and they portray a holistic approach to beauty.

I picked up Spa Ceylon  Lotus & Saffron Cleansing Bar as I am a big fan of using saffron on face & body because of saffron’s skin brightening and therapeutic properties. Before continuing the review I would like to brief a little about Spa Ceylon.

This is what they have to say about their brand :

Derived from royal relaxation, rejuvenation and healing rituals of Ayurveda, practiced in the grand palaces of Ceylon, comes the range of treasured formulae and rituals from Spa Ceylon, to hydrate, treat, purify and soothe your body, mind, and soul.

Is it Comparable to the Other High-End Ayurvedic Brands?

• I am a huge fan of Forest Essentials & Kama Ayurveda products. I have used the Rose & Cardamom soap from FE which is absolutely delightful! I had pretty high expectation from Spa Ceylon looking at their philosophy.

• As you can see from the pictures the soap is bright yellow colored providing quite a luxurious feel to it.

• After 5-6 days of using it regularly, it brightened up the skin considerably.  I have never tried it on my face so can’t comment on how this will work on facial skin.

• This soap makes a great lather which I really enjoy.

• The ingredient list is quite promising and looking at it I would say it should be a great companion for people with normal or dry skin. But personally I am not impressed by the hydrating properties of this saffron infused soap. After taking bath, my body skin feels stretched and I have to apply some heavy duty moisturizer to replenish the moisture loss.

Sodium soap of coconut fatty Acids , Aqua , sorbitol , sucrose , Vegetable glycerine , natural vitamin E from soya, pure bees honey ,Virgin coconut. Pink lotus, saffron

Pros Of Spa Ceylon Lotus & Saffron Cleansing Bar

• Good ingredients. No harmful chemicals involved.

• Brightens up complexion after regular use.

• The soap looks gorgeous .

Cons Of Spa Ceylon Lotus & Saffron Cleansing Bar

• Skin feels tight and taut after taking a bath with it.

• It is quite an average product and doesn’t justify the price.

Final Thought:

I had real high hopes with this soap. Looking at the ingredient list I thought this could be an awesome addition to my daily bath ritual but alas! It turned  out to be quite average and not a must have!

WMP Rating: 3.2/5
